Poster | China-Europe Railway Express trips top 130,000

The China-Europe Railway Express has completed 130,000 trips as of Saturday, with a freight train departing central China's Zhengzhou for Hamburg in Germany marking the milestone. Total cargo value has surpassed 520 billion U.S. dollars, according to China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.

The network now includes 93 scheduled routes (up to 120 km/h), connecting 129 Chinese cities with 235 cities in 26 European countries and over 100 cities in 11 Asian nations, covering most of Eurasia.

Freight rates have fallen by more than 40% since launch, while the service now carries over 50,000 types of goods across 53 categories, including automobiles, machinery, electronics, timber, agricultural products, and consumer goods.
