DALIAN, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- With the last COVID-19 patient discharged from hospital, the number of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases being treated in northeast China's Dalian, a port city in Liaoning Province, dropped to zero on Thursday, local authorities said.
Dalian has conducted several rounds of citywide nucleic acid tests following a resurgence of COVID-19 cases since December last year.
The city reported 51 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 32 asymptomatic cases. All of them have been discharged from hospital after testing negative twice for COVID-19. They will spend a further 14 days under quarantine in centralized isolation facilities.
