Obama to appear with running mate
Asia Pacific News.Net Tuesday 19th August, 2008
Campaign officials for Barack Obama say his new running mate will join the Democratic hopeful onstage this coming weekend in Springfield, Illinois.
Obama and his vice-presidential choice are mooted to appear in front of the former state Capitol.
The announcement means Obama will need to reveal his running mate within the next three days, with the list of possibilities widely believed to be down to Delaware Senator Joe Biden, Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, Indiana Senator Evan Bayh and Virginia Governor Tim Kaine.
The campaign has said it will announce the choice of vice-president in a mobile phone text message to supporters.
Mr Obama will begin his trip to the party's national convention at Saturday's event.
The Democratic National Convention begins Monday in Denver.

Obama should pick a running mate dat has thesame vision in order 2 build up d fallen hope of US & d entire world most especially Nigeria. The candidate should be a person dat is concious about US security & d world at large in order 2 have a best combination with Obama since his opposition is emphassing in US security, also we want a candidate dat can unit US, Iraq & the world at large.
